Each year CCANW has to raise approximately £70,000 from other sources in order to attract the continuation of its grant from the Arts Council. Whilst we succeed in earning income from book sales, events and our Friends association, competition for other grants is increasingly intense.
We are therefore planning a fundraising exhibition 'My Favourite Tree' next year, with the proceeds supporting our educational work associated with our Games People Play programme - part of the Cultural Olympics.
We are in the process of inviting artists and environmentalist to donate work in any medium on the subject of their favourite tree which will be displayed for a month before being auctioned off.
